TickrateChanger Mod allows players to change the tickrate to either speed up or slow down the game. Here are some outstanding features.

Features:

  • Let you change the server tickrate.
  • Let you change your client tickrate.
  • Let you change any player tickrate via server command.
  • Good for videos (slow motion, timelapses).
  • Good for custom modpacks/maps (maybe you wanna change how the game works?).

  • Good for testing (a slow tickrate let you have time to see before everything happens).

Commands:

For everyone:

  • /tickrate [ticks per second] – Changes the server & client tickrate
  • /tickrate [ticks per second] server – Changes the server tickrate
  • /tickrate [ticks per second] client – Changes the client tickrate
  • /tickrate [ticks per second] [player name] – Changes the [player name]’s tickrate

For administration/mapping: (command block, computercraft, ?)

  • /tickrate setdefault [ticks per second] – Changes the server & client default tickrate
  • /tickrate setdefault [ticks per second] -dontsave – Changes the server & client default tickrate without saving in the config file
  • /tickrate setdefault [ticks per second] -dontupdate – Changes the server & client default tickrate without updating clients
  • /tickrate setdefault [ticks per second] -dontupdate -dontsave – Changes the server & client default tickrate without saving in the config file and updating clients (this will only affect players that join the server after using this command)
  • /tickrate setmap [ticks per second] – Changes the map tickrate
  • /tickrate setmap [ticks per second] -dontupdate – Changes the map tickrate without updating clients

  • /tickrate – Shows current tickrate of the server, client, map and the default tickrate.
  • /tickrate help – Shows command examples

How to install:

  • Download and install Minecraft Forge.
  • Download the TickrateChanger Mod from link below.
  • Go to .minecraft/mods folder. If the “mods” folder does not exist you can create one.
    • Windows – Open the Start menu and select Run, or press the Windows key + R. Type (without quotes) “%appdata%\.minecraft\mods” and press Enter.
    • OS X – Open the Go menu in Finder and select “Go to Folder”. Type (without quotes) “~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods” and press Return.
  • Copy the downloaded jar (zip) file into the “mods” folder that opens.
  • Enjoy the mod.
