Coros’ Localized Weather and Stormfronts Mod 1.7.10

Coros’ Localized Weather and Stormfronts Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10

Coros’ Localized Weather and Stormfronts Mod doesn’t aim to make a total change of the weather in Minecraft. Simply, it permits player to watch approaching storms from a distance. There are noticeable traits to play the game well.

  • No matter if you aren’t using other mods that are dependent upon the weather to function.
  • Have a layer of realism to Minecraft which just wasn’t there before.
  • Rain, snow and other weather effects seem to just appear out of nowhere, with little regard for where the player is or the time of day
  • Only snows in biomes with snow on the ground.

Again, this probably doesn’t matter if you aren’t using other mods that are dependent upon the weather to function. But it does add a layer of realism to Minecraft which just wasn’t there before. Naturally people should be able to look up at the sky and see if rain, storms or other inclement weather are coming. You just can’t do that in Minecraft normally though. Instead, rain, snow and other weather effects seem to just appear out of nowhere, with little regard for where the player is or the time of day. At least it only snows in biomes with snow on the ground.

Mod Showcase:

It’s not just that you can see weather coming from miles away either. Coros’ Localized Weather and Stormfronts mod also changes up clouds, replacing the blocky vanilla ones with clouds that actually shift and swirl like the real thing. Particle based rain and snow will actually move along with the direction of the wind, and yes, the mod adds wind to Minecraft too. There is even a weather machine block which can create localized storms, blizzards and other weather effects wherever you like, so the mod does technically give you some control over the weather. But you have to want to change it first.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur on startup of client, possibly due to other mods installed.
