As what can infer from the mod’s name, Zoom mod by Tonius 1.12 allow players to add a single tool for zooming. That tool’s name is Binoculars. It is extremely a useful mod. If you want to look at something from a long distance such as a land, a mountain or even sea; Zoom mod is designed for you to get close enough to see. Admittedly, the mod surely supports you much in the game.

Binoculars can be crafted like so:

To use the Binoculars, simply hold right-click while holding the tool in your hand. Binoculars can also be used from anywhere in your inventory by using a keybind (Z by default).

While using Binoculars, you can adjust the zoom level with the mouse wheel.

If Render Player API (1.7.10 version only) is installed, a small visual effect is enabled: players that are using Binoculars can actually be seen holding them up to their eyes.

This does not work if Binoculars are used with the keybind. It might also look glitchy when wearing armor with unique models from other mods.

How to install:

  • Download and install Minecraft Forge.
  • Download and install Render Player API (Minecraft 1.7.10 only).
  • Download the Just Jetpacks Mod from link below.
  • Go to .minecraft/mods folder. If the “mods” folder does not exist you can create one.
    • Windows – Open the Start menu and select Run, or press the Windows key + R. Type (without quotes) “%appdata%.minecraftmods” and press Enter.
    • OS X – Open the Go menu in Finder and select “Go to Folder”. Type (without quotes) “~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods” and press Return.
  • Copy the downloaded jar (zip) file into the “mods” folder that opens.
  • Enjoy the mod.
