Resynth Mod 1.12.2 (Growable Ores, Mob Drops and Resources)

Resynth Mod 1.12.2 (Growable Ores, Mob Drops and Resources) for Minecraft 1.12.2

Updated: Nov 7, 2018 | 27 views |

Resynth Mod 1.12.2 is a modification to Minecraft that focuses on giving the player a way to obtain every in-game resource through plants. It ties directly into the game so you obtain the resources and seeds just by mining – no need to do anything special? except blow up some TNT here and there. Resynth was also designed to be as configurable as possible – so you can make the mod as stupidly overpowered or underpowered as you like. Be it making a million diamond seeds drop per ore block or making coal seeds rarer than a mushroom biome.

Features:

Plants:

Crystalline Plants

  • Minecraft wheat equivalent
  • Seeds obtained by mining the Minecraft ore block (with an iron pickaxe or better).
    • Diamond
    • Coal
    • Redstone
    • Lapis Lazuli
    • Glowstone
    • Quartz
    • Emerald

Metallic plants

  • Minecraft melon equivalent
  • Seeds obtained by blowing up the Minecraft ore block.
    • Iron
    • Gold

Mineral Soil:

  • All Resynth plants must be placed on Mineral Soil. Obtained either by crafting or right clicking dirt/grass with a Mineral Crystal.
  • All mineral soil blocks have a mineral content. This value plays an important role in how fast plants grow.
  • When placed, the block starts with a mineral content of 1%. Plants will take forever to grow with lower mineral content levels. The mineral content can be increased up to 50% by right clicking the mineral soil block with mineral rocks or dense mineral rocks. This will increase the value by 1% and 9% respectively (configurable). A mineral content of 25% or more is suggested.

Mineral Rich Rock:

  • Resynth’s only ore block. Gives mineral rocks which are required for growing plants. By default, this ore block only spawns deep down at very small quantities (configurable).

Obtaining Seeds:

  • Plants only ever drop one seed and one seed only.
  • Seeds are obtained differently depending on the plant type (metallic or crystalline)
  • For crystalline plants (such as diamond and glowstone), the seeds will drop randomly when mining that plants ore block (diamond ore for the diamond plant). The chance of the seeds dropping is configurable and can be turned off. To obtain seeds from the plant, the produce (called straw) can be dropped in a water source block and left to despawn – seeds will randomly spawn or the produce will be lost (chance is configurable).
  • For metallic plants (such as gold and diamond), seeds will randomly drop when the plants ore block (iron ore for the iron plant) is blown up by TNT. This can be turned off and the chance is configurable. To obtain seeds from the plant, the plants produce (called organic ore) can also be blown up by TNT. Like all things in this mod, this is configurable as well.

Obtaining The Minecraft Resources:

  • The plants produce (straw for crystalline plants and organic ore for metallic plants) can be placed in a furnace to get the Minecraft resource (e.g. diamond straw -> diamond and organic gold ore -> gold).
